Yes - the two black knobs in the trunk near each hinge should be positioned so that the shelf between the roll hoops and the back window is in the lowered position. If the shelf is raised (to make more cargo space in the trunk) it would occupy the area that the roof does when its lowered. So the knobs have lock outs to prevent the roof from lowering into the raised shelf and causing damage.
