When you need to really floor it and scoot across a busy road, the last thing you want is any hesitation whatsoever, you want a burst of instant torque and explosion forward. This was a problem in our X5 before I had Start/Stop coded off; the X7 being substantially heavier is an even bigger problem and I've got to get my wife to remember to hit the 'off' button, it's actually unsafe for our situation and a major concern for me.
