That's good to hear. I have heard some conflicting, if anecdotal, information from a close family member who is an engineer in the auto industry. Not about Mexico, specifically, but about quality issues that arise when production is moved.

That being said, however, one of my cars is an American built Honda with over 300K miles with zero quality related issues over it's life. Stuff wears out certainly, but the thing's bulletproof otherwise.

There is more passion associated with purchasing a BMW than a Honda, and my emotional side would prefer my German car to be made in Germany. No data to support my position, but I'm absolutely OK with that!
