I'm sure that you did have a blast. I didn't mean to say that you can't have fun with a DCT. I even have fun with my lowly M235i with a ZF8
It is so subjective, like paint color, wheel choice etc. Can you imagine if everyone wanted the same color car? It would be a very boring world.
