As said already, shocks and wear items and won't be covered by any extended warranty, maybe a maintainance plan but I haven't heard of one that does.

I recently made the jump to KW V2's at 64k. After taking my old shocks out I was able to compress the fronts easily by hand and the rears with a single hand... If you're up by that mileage it's a good time for replacement.

Keep in mind when you're purchasing struts or coilovers, they're going to cost about the same to install so if you were thinking of an upgrade, now is the time.
