Thanks in advance, it's much appreciated that your doing this for us. You're probably not getting service records because from what I've read on forum threads BMW's official stance on service records is that they're the property of the previous owner and not to be shared with the current owner. If someone in the service department shares it with you they're either nice or ignorant of BMW's official policy.
To everyone else, the info he's getting from TIS seems to be more detailed than what's available on free vin decoders. Go ahead and compare the VIN's he has already done with the results you get from a free decoder. His results seem closer to a factory build sheet than an options list.
