I bet the M2 is competitive (maybe faster) with the 997 in terms of actual performance (lap times) and it has a warranty. It will also have FAR more usable torque for DD which is fun. However, there is something really cool about the Porsche. The biggest downside of the 997, IMO, is the really dated interior but that likely doesn't matter to everyone. I only really liked 911 interiors when the 991 came out.
I drove one yesterday. im surprised the Porsche guys haven't jumped on this. I guess since its not a cayman. I really liked it. the dash does look like shit but its a car for driving not tech. I would at some point like to add it to my roster in addition to my m2. Any additional info about the 997 would be greatly appreciated. Not sure im at the level where I want to get my renslist on.
