36 [female] - MT from the day i learned to drive; my lower spine was fused awhile back and the one thing they told me was that i wouldn't be able to operate a clutch - but i STILL can!! i also do most of the work on her myself and my other car is an E36 328is..

my grandfather drove a stick until he was about 87 and then had to stop for the last 5 years b/c his knees just woudn't do it..

my mom can also drive a stick but not daily

my partner [36 - male] drives a MT

my little brother [33] drives a MT when he has a car

my father used to drive a stick- RIP

I have one friend who drives stick - male, 25

I think part of it is access/ability to learn - I mean who wants to teach someone on YOUR clutch?? - plus in the US it is made out to be scarry..

anyway everyone else sucks and will never get seat time in my car!

I would be interested to see the male/female split as I bet almost 90% are male, but hey prove me wrong--!

I read somewhere that only 6% of vehicles in the US are MT
