Agree. It will be interesting to see where the enthusiast crowd migrates to. Perhaps Tesla? I really like what they are doing as a car company; sure they're interested in profit, but they seem to be
more focused on quality engineering and breaking new ground.
My best friend is currently in the process of dumping his now problematic '08 550i, and he will not be going with another BMW. He's shopping a model S, and this is a guy who has driven nothing but BMW since 1993. Reithofer's BMW seems to only care about boosting share price at all costs, excellence be damned. Shameful.
