He said months ago that he is going to step down plus he is not looking all that healthy right now, so its not a surprise at all.
However, he groomed the current management team pretty damn well, so I am sure they will be able to carry the torch for a while.
On top of that, their product line is probably is all planned out and set for the next 3-5 years. Too early to dance on Apple's grave.
