G20/G21 Service Intervals?
Hi,
Just trying to find the service intervals for a 2020 G20. I know iDrive updates but I'm seeing conflicting information mainly from US forums on a oil change at 6 months and when the spark plugs are due. I'm confused as I believed spark plugs were to be changed at 60k on all BMW's now, mine doesn't seem to say they're due unless it falls hidden under the "Oil Service" shown on iDrive and it's listed under that when the time comes, but my partners 2019 1 Series on 30k is coming up that her plugs are due at the next service. Cheers. |

Maintenance book that came with my 2021 M340i lists spark plug change at 60k.
CBS oil change can go as long as 10,000 miles, but my initial reminder usually comes on around 8-9k. This is my 2nd 3 series where I’ve stayed with the CBS recommended intervals, and I’ve had no engine issues. However, 6k miles changed wouldn’t be a bad idea. Questions about oil change intervals and best brand and weight of oil often turn into very long discussions. Last edited by Bc2005; 11-15-2023 at 06:35 AM.. |

The BMW site is very good at getting detailed costs for all maintenance specific to your car. Try a few dealers as there is variance between them.

If you book it with the MyBMW App, then it shows you the exact prices for everything for your particular garage that you want to use. However, I argued with changing spark plugs at 30k miles (4 years) and they knocked it down from £580 to £500. Still crazy expensive, but wanted to keep the full BMW Service History.

....or speak to your chosen dealer direct and haggle a price! Have look at what nearby dealers are charging and you'll find they tend to compete against each other to get the servicing business from you!
